The rights of property , as such, have not been venerated by those master minds who have built up economic science; but the authority of the science has been wrongly assumed by some who have pushed the claims of vested rights to extreme and antisocial uses. It may be well therefore to note that the tendancy of careful economic study is to base the rights of private property not on any abstract principle, but on the observations that in the past they have been insepareble from economic progress.

Þessi maður er aðallega frægur fyrir að setja hagfræði í stærðfræðilegann búning. Reyndar gerði hann það í viðaukum enda ekki viðurkennd aðferðafræði á þeim tíma. Sú hagfræði sem kennt er við þennan mann er frekar leiðinleg. M.a.s. þessi samfylkingartappi er sammála. Sem mér finnst reyndar hálfundarlegt. Ég veit ekki hvað oft samfylkingin beitir hefðbundinni hagfræði fyrir sig.
